RUTAS International Festival of Performance

The 2026 RUTAS International Festival of Performance marks a significant milestone as Aluna Theatre celebrates its 25th anniversary and its 7th edition of the festival. Presented in partnership with Factory Theatre and Theatre Passe Muraille, the festival brings an ambitious slate of national and international programming from across the Americas to Toronto.

Festival Highlights Running from September 24 to October 4, 2026, RUTAS presents seven projects across three venues, featuring artists and collaborations from nine countries. Audiences can expect multidisciplinary works spanning theatre, dance, live art, and installation, alongside participatory workshops and public dialogues. Featured artists include Irma Villafuerte, ARTICLE 11 (Andy Moro & Tara Beagan), Natalie Álvarez, Katiana Gonçales Rangel, and Richard Maxwell.

Venues & Accessibility Primary events take place at Theatre Passe Muraille (16 Ryerson Ave) in the heart of Queen West, alongside programming at Factory Theatre and other partner spaces. It's a premier cultural event for contemporary performance art enthusiasts in the city.
