Anchoring the corner of College and McCaul Streets across from the University of Toronto campus, The Copper Boot revived a historic tavern address into an energetic Tex-Mex sports bar and hangout. The interior pairs leather-lined booths and high-top tables with plenty of screens, pool tables in the back, and an adjacent laneway patio that regularly hosts daytime DJ block parties.

The Copper Boot Menu & What to Order The kitchen operates strictly on a scratch-made philosophy, turning out southern border comfort food with zero shortcuts. Start with the loaded fries drenched in house-made queso, bacon, and hot honey ranch, or grab an order of spiced corn ribs tossed in cowboy butter and cotija-style Parmesan. For mains, the stuffed brisket burger packed with melted cheddar and baconnaise is an undisputed heavyweight, while the crispy beer-battered fish tacos and house-made apple pie cheesecake tacos provide sweet and savory bookends.

Know Before You Go Tables can be booked in advance online for game days and weekly music bingo, but walk-ins can usually grab bar stools or line up a round of pool without much friction outside of Friday night rushes. The bar sits directly on the 506 Carlton streetcar line and is a short five-minute walk west from Queen's Park Station. Doors open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 1:00 a.m., with the space staying closed on Sundays and Mondays.
