Located at 114 Atlantic Avenue right next to Burger Drops in Liberty Village, Mozy's Charcoal is a minimalist counter-service joint from chef Barbode Soudi, former chef de cuisine at Alo. Named in tribute to Soudi's late father, the compact space is built entirely around an open-flame, custom-imported Portuguese charcoal rotisserie grill. Seating is strictly limited to a handful of counter stools, making this high-energy room primarily a fast-paced takeout hub perfumed with woodsmoke.

Mozy's Charcoal Menu & What to Order The hyper-focused menu centres on halal birds that are brined, air-dried for days, and grilled over lump charcoal with nothing more than confit garlic oil and sea salt. Order the Half Chicken Plate, accompanied by fragrant vermicelli basmati rice, warm flatbread, sumac-dusted onions, and a scoop of velvety smoked labneh. Round out the spread with hand-cut fries seasoned in Australian-style chicken salt, the charred eggplant dip with chili crisp, and a tub of roasted red pepper sauce. Finish your meal with the chewy, sweet-and-savory tahini miso cookie.

Know Before You Go Mozy's operates entirely on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis, and lines routinely stretch out the door during peak evening hours and BMO Field event days. Street parking in Liberty Village is notoriously tight, so taking the 504 King streetcar or walking from Exhibition GO Station is recommended. The shop is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 9:00 p.m., but showing up early is wise because birds often sell out before closing.
