Big Boi Fry-Bread

Big Boi Fry-Bread is an Indigenous-owned comfort-food counter inside Hangout Street, the shipping-container food market at 181 Parliament Street in Corktown. Chefs Ohitika Okaga (Monty Newell) and Wilmer Noganosh III opened June 30, 2026, after Tea N Bannock closed, and the stall is now one of the few Indigenous-owned food spots in the city. The name carries over from Ohitika's earlier Big Boi Ice Cream days on Wolfe Island; the mascot Zoongide stands for courage, kindness, and community.

**Order:** Start with fry bread or a powwow taco. Three Sisters soup (corn, beans, squash), chili bowls, loaded fries, poutine, and sconedawgs round out the savory side.
