Where Walls Meet Sky

Following the devastating 2024 fire that severely damaged historic St. Anne’s Anglican Church at 270 Gladstone Avenue, the landmark building is reopening to the public for the first time through a breathtaking contemporary art exhibition: *Where Walls Meet Sky*.

The Exhibition Curated by Rui Pimenta of Art Spin, the exhibition features site-specific works by 12 prominent Canadian artists—including Sandra Brewster, Julia Campisi, John Dickson, Max Streicher, and Eunice Luk—working across sculpture, installation, and photography. Because the historic church currently lacks a roof, the altered interior creates a striking architectural experience where interior and exterior blur, turning the visible sky into a powerful metaphor for resilience, transformation, and healing.

Visiting Information Running from August 22 through September 13, 2026, admission to this unique exhibition is entirely free. Located in the West End / Dufferin Grove neighbourhood, St. Anne’s is easily reached via the 505 Dundas streetcar or the 29 Dufferin bus. Visitors should note the open-air nature of the venue and dress accordingly for an unforgettable intersection of heritage preservation and contemporary Canadian art.
