Downtown Toronto's core transforms into a vibrant hub of living heritage as the seventh annual Toronto Dragon Festival takes over Nathan Phillips Square from September 4 to September 6, 2026.
Spectacular Cultural Highlights
This year's festival welcomes one of China’s most powerful intangible cultural heritage traditions: the explosive Chaoshan Yingge Dance, famous for its thunderous rhythm and warrior spirit. Alongside this stunning debut, visitors can catch gravity-defying high-pole lion and dragon dances, a multicultural performance lineup representing global communities, the magical Luminati Night Light Show, and an expansive Asian street food market.
Technology Meets Tradition
Adding a modern twist for 2026, the festival debuts an interactive AI Innovation Showcase featuring cutting-edge consumer tech, robot dogs, and smart wearables. Running all weekend with free admission for all ages, Nathan Phillips Square will be the ultimate downtown destination to celebrate culture, food, and innovation right in front of City Hall.
