Salsa On Market Street

Market Street—the charming pedestrian-friendly stretch just west of St. Lawrence Market—is turning up the heat this summer with Salsa on Market Street. This rhythm-infused outdoor series invites dancers of all skill levels to step out, learn some moves, and enjoy vibrant live music in the heart of Old Town Toronto.

Running on Sunday afternoon from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the event transforms the historic street into an open-air dance floor complete with professional instructors, infectious Latin rhythms, and plenty of local energy.

What to Expect Completely free to attend, this community dance party welcomes everyone from absolute beginners to seasoned salsa pros. Grab a treat from a nearby vendor, follow along with the lessons, or simply sit back and enjoy the incredible live band.

Getting There Located right on Market Street (beside the west side of St. Lawrence Market at The Esplanade and Front St E), it’s easily reached via the King streetcar or a short walk from Union Station.
