Hello Sunshine!

Part musical, part moving memoir, 'Hello Sunshine!' arrives at West Queen West's multidisciplinary hub, The Theatre Centre, as part of the SummerWorks Performance Festival.

Celebrated performer and creator Sara Porter brings her signature playful, irreverent, and virtuosic style to the stage in a deeply personal one-woman show. The production uses dance, text, and music to explore her lived experience with a sun allergy—shedding light on the unseen social, personal, and logistical hurdles of navigating an invisible disability in a world built for the outdoors.

The Theatre Centre, housed in the historic former West Toronto library building at 1115 Queen St W, provides an intimate and progressive backdrop for cutting-edge contemporary performance. It's an ideal spot to catch boundary-pushing independent theatre before grabbing a drink at one of the many lively bars along West Queen West.
