Afraspektion

Organized by Oddside Arts in partnership with the Riverside BIA, Afraspektion invites the community to keep the carnival weekend energy alive at Riverside Common Park (657 Queen St E). This family-friendly festival honours the rich legacy, culture, and creative contributions of the Afrodiaspora in Canada.

Festival Highlights The afternoon kicks off with a memorable opening ceremony, followed by hours of live music, dynamic performances, and free entertainment suitable for all ages. Visitors can explore a curated artisan market featuring local black-owned businesses, creators, and community groups, alongside interactive giveaways and family activities.

Getting There and Joining In Located just west of Queen and Broadview, Riverside Common Park is easily accessible via the 501 streetcar. Admission is free, though RSVPs are encouraged for special perks and updates. It’s a warm, welcoming community gathering that captures the true spirit of Toronto's summer celebrations.
