Loop
Toronto's largest and most beloved public park features 5 kilometres of trails winding through 161 hectares of rare oak savannah, forested ravines, and manicured gardens. The park is home to Grenadier Pond, a free zoo, seasonal cherry blossoms, and some of the oldest trees in the city.
Very Toronto Tips
The cherry blossoms get all the press (and the crowds), but High Park's oak savannah on the west side is the real ecological treasure — it's one of the rarest habitats in Canada. Walk the nature trails in October for the best of both worlds: peak foliage, zero crowds, and Grenadier Pond glowing orange.

Getting There
Transit
High Park station (TTC Line 2) exits directly onto the park's northeast corner. The 501 Queen and 504 King streetcars stop at High Park/Queensway on the south side.
Parking
Several lots inside the park. Vehicle access closed on weekends and holidays year-round — use transit, walk, or cycle. Free street parking on Parkside Drive.
Seasonal Notes
Best: SpringCherry blossom season (late April to mid-May) draws huge crowds. The park conducts controlled burns in the oak savannah for ecological health. The zoo and train are seasonal.
