Founded in 1829, Upper Canada College is one of Canada's oldest and most prestigious independent schools for boys. The 35-acre Forest Hill campus serves 1,280 students from Junior Kindergarten through Year 12, with 88 boarding students from 25 countries joining in Years 8–12. The student-to-faculty ratio is 9:1.
UCC is a full IB Continuum World School, offering the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma programmes. 100% of graduates receive university offers, with 33% entering STEM programmes. The school is accredited by CAIS, CIS Ontario, IBSC, NAIS, TABS, and the G30 Schools group.
The Preparatory School (JK–Year 7, ~450 boys) and Upper School (Years 8–12, ~830 boys) share the main campus, which includes a double-pad arena, fitness complex, music studios, and theatre. The 430-acre Norval Outdoor School, 40 minutes northwest of the city, hosts field studies and outdoor education.
Approximately 20% of students receive financial assistance from UCC's sector-leading programme, with $6 million available annually. Day tuition for 2026–27 ranges from $44,940 (JK–Year 5) to $48,720 (Years 11–12). Boarding tuition starts at $81,280 domestically.
Notable programmes include the Lang Scholars programme, Horizons service initiative, Design & Innovation curriculum, and a full athletics and arts programme spanning drama, film, music, and visual arts.
