Sibel

What is Sibel? Positioned along Avenue Road just south of Highway 401, Sibel brings an upscale grillhouse sensibility to Midtown Toronto's Turkish dining landscape. The room balances airy volume with neighborhood warmth, pairing soaring ceilings and an expansive bar with polished modern banquettes and seasonal outdoor seating. It feels intentional and swanky without drifting into stiff territory.

Sibel Menu & What to Order Charcoal heat commands the kitchen, turning out intensely juicy Adana Kebab, tender veal fillet skewers, and the standout Sibel Beyti Special Kebab rolled in crisp flatbread. Start with silk-smooth hummus and crisp fried kubbeh before sharing a blistered Mix Turkish Pizza Pide and the sprawling Mix Kebab Platter. On weekends, the multi-dish Turkish Rustic Breakfast for Two commands the dining room, while evening ends best with a slice of milk-soaked triliche.

Know Before You Go Evenings fill up quickly with neighborhood families and date-night duos, so reserving a table in advance is strongly advised. Weekend mornings bring a rush for the rustic breakfast spread starting at 10:30 a.m., when Avenue Road street parking can get competitive. Sibel runs seven days a week, wrapping at 10:00 p.m. on weeknights and 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
