Shibui Sushi Japanese Eatery Menu & What to Order The kitchen balances pristine raw fish with deeply satisfying comfort dishes, making it just as easy to curate a light sashimi lunch as it is to feast on savory street eats. Start with the steamed homemade suimai or a crisp vegetable okonomiyaki, then move swiftly to the sushi bar highlights—specifically the melt-in-your-mouth aburi sake sashimi and rich o-toro. Toronto classics like crispy-crusted sushi pizza and spicy red tuna maki deliver reliable crunch and kick, while plant-based diners can comfortably lean into veggie gyoza and pristine avocado rolls.

Know Before You Go Shibui accepts reservations, which are wise to secure for prime Friday and Saturday evening dinner hours when nearby Midtown locals pack the room. The kitchen takes a hard rest on Mondays, but runs a dedicated lunch service Tuesday through Saturday before rolling directly into dinner. Metered street parking is available right out front on Mount Pleasant, with transit riders easily connecting via the 74 Mount Pleasant bus.
