Sana is a modern banya and wellness sanctuary located on Geary Avenue within Toronto's industrial arts community. Co-founded by Malcolm Levy and Jamie Webster, the concept reimagines traditional European bathhouse culture through a contemporary lens, blending high-end thermal rituals like saunas, steam rooms, and cold plunges with social hospitality. The ground level features a vibrant, full-service restaurant, bar, and all-season heated patio that serves health-conscious elixirs alongside Eastern European-inspired comfort fare, while an upper-level tea lounge provides space for quiet decompression.
First-time visitors can expect a relaxed atmosphere where the dress code on the patio encourages robes and comfortable slides. The menu highlights shareable plates curated with nourishment in mind, featuring handmade pierogis, steak tartare, pork cabbage rolls, and inventive cocktails such as the signature sauerkraut martini, alongside non-alcoholic options like fresh-pressed juices and kombucha. While walk-ins to the restaurant and bar are welcomed subject to availability, access to the spa facilities and certain dining exclusivity rules typically tie into day passes or memberships, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely weekend lunch or an evening gathering with friends.
