Mista Boiga

Geary Avenue’s industrial stretch has a new occupant in Mista Boiga, the latest project from Eddie Chan. After shuttering Big Trouble Pizza in early 2026, the team took the same space and leaned into the smash burger program that used to be a side act on their old menu. It’s a straightforward pivot that fits the neighbourhood’s gritty, evolving character, trading pizza ovens for a dedicated griddle setup that focuses entirely on high-quality beef from The Butcher’s Son.
Don’t expect a sprawling menu here; the focus is on three core burgers and the occasional limited-time special. Chan suggests starting with the Classic OG, which keeps things simple with American cheese, standard toppings, and house sauce on a potato roll. If you’re after something more aggressive, the Kwispy Wanch packs in jalapeños and crispy onions, while the Gaucho Melt leans into chimichurri and flame-torched cheese. Since this is a fresh operation, check their social media before making the trek to Geary, as hours and stock can shift while they find their footing.
