Pho Con Bo

What is Pho Con Bo? Set along Finch Avenue West in Glenfield-Jane Heights, Pho Con Bo is a reliable neighbourhood fixture dishing out comforting, scratch-made Vietnamese cooking to hungry locals and York University students. The dining room is compact, casual, and stripped of pretense, equipped with closely spaced wooden tables and a modest patio setup in the warmer months. It operates with the lively, efficient rhythm of an authentic noodle shop where speed and substance take priority over frills.

Pho Con Bo Menu & What to Order Start with the house namesake 'Pho Con Bo' or the loaded 'Pho Dac Biet', anchored by an aromatic beef broth that hits deep anise and charred onion notes without drowning in salt. Beyond soup, the sizzling 'Pan Banh Mi (Bò Né)' arrives spitting hot in a cast-iron skillet with beef and fried eggs, ready to be mopped up with crusty bread, while the grilled pork chop on broken rice delivers excellent smoke and fish sauce glaze. Regional noodle soups like the crab-rich 'Bun Rieu' and crispy stuffed 'Bánh Xèo' round out the savory side before ending on a sweet scoop of 'Kem Vit Nam' or a fresh fruit smoothie.

Know Before You Go Tables are walk-in only, and though service is fast-paced, expect short waits during peak weekday lunch rushes and weekend dinners. Drivers will appreciate the free, dedicated parking lot directly in front of the strip plaza along Finch. The kitchen runs on a consistent schedule seven days a week, opening early at 9:00 a.m. and wrapping up at 10:00 p.m.
