Anchoring Dundas Street West just west of Bathurst, Patois is chef Craig Wong’s high-octane mashup of Jamaican soul food and Chinese culinary traditions, backed by disciplined French technique. The room runs on vintage hip-hop, neon-bright energy, and playful decor featuring inflatable pool toys suspended from the ceiling. Seating covers regular dining tables equipped for family-style platters, an active bar top, and a lively front patio in the summer months.

Patois Menu & What to Order The kitchen turns out deeply seasoned comfort plates engineered to share across the table. The undisputed champion is the Jerk Chicken Chow Mein, pairing pulled smoked jerk chicken with crisp Hong Kong egg noodles, bok choy, and oyster sauce gravy. Round out the spread with the sweet-and-savoury Chinese "Pineapple" Bun Burger, smoky Juicy Jerk Chicken, and the rich Jerk Pork Belly Yakisoba. Wash everything down with a shared teapot of rum punch, and save room for the Hong Kong-style Cookie Butter French Toast.

Know Before You Go Tables fill quickly on Friday and Saturday nights, so online reservations are strongly advised, though solo diners and duos can often slip into walk-in seats at the bar. Street parking along Dundas is limited, making the 505 Dundas streetcar the smoothest transit option. The restaurant opens for dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. onward and is closed on Mondays.
