Onigiri Co.

Onigiri Co. is a specialized, fast-casual restaurant located in the Bay-Adelaide Centre’s PATH level in Toronto’s Financial District. Founded by CEO Tim Kwan, the shop focuses exclusively on the traditional Japanese rice ball, or omusubi. The concept is built on a commitment to high-quality ingredients, utilizing 100% Japanese rice and premium nori to ensure an authentic texture and flavour profile. The atmosphere is strictly functional and designed for efficiency, catering to the fast-paced, high-energy environment of downtown office workers who require a portable, high-quality meal.
For a first-time visitor, the menu is straightforward and best approached by trying the classics. The Tuna Mayo is a popular, creamy staple, while the Umeboshi offers a traditional, sharp punch of pickled plum. To make a more substantial meal, guests can choose from various set combos that pair the rice balls with sides such as spinach goma-ae or soy-marinated quail eggs. As this is a grab-and-go establishment, there is no seating available for dining in. Prices generally range from $15 to $25 depending on the set selected. To ensure the freshest selection and avoid the peak lunch rush, it is recommended to visit slightly before the typical midday office crowd arrives.
