What is Namul? Tucked along Yonge Street just north of Davisville, Namul is an intimate, family-owned Korean counter dedicated to clean, homestyle cooking. The minimalist room features simple wood tables, clean lighting, and a modest sidewalk patio during warm weather. Unlike spots centered on heavy fried fare, this kitchen focuses on wholesome Korean staples built around in-house sprouted microgreens and carefully seasoned vegetables.
Namul Menu & What to Order The signature Namul Bibimbap Bowl is the standout order, layered with fiddleheads, shiitake mushrooms, spicy radish, in-house broccoli and alfalfa sprouts, and a garlic-laced gochujang. Round out your meal with the tightly packed Bulgogi Kimbap or a bowl of soothing Beef Radish Soup, both crafted with home-cooked precision. Bouncy glass-noodle Japchae and the Salmon Dupbap are equally rewarding, with most rice and noodle dishes easily adapted for vegan diners.
Know Before You Go Everything runs on an order-at-the-counter system with no reservations, though turnover is fast and seating is rarely an issue outside peak takeout rushes. The restaurant is an easy five-minute walk north of Davisville subway station, with paid street parking scattered along Yonge Street. Namul is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8:00 p.m., remaining closed on Mondays.
