Set along the retail strip of Forest Hill Village at 431 Spadina Road, Le Petit Pain is a classic boulangerie and French épicerie founded by Ryan Silverstein, whose baking lineage traces back to the historic Silverstein's Bakery. The intimate storefront pairs warm wood millwork, vintage French antiques, and overflowing pastry cases with shelves of imported pantry goods and wines from Burgundy. Counter perches provide limited indoor spots to linger over a hot drink, but the room is structured primarily around a brisk daytime takeout counter.

Le Petit Pain Menu & What to Order The baking team turns out naturally leavened breads and viennoiserie daily, led by crackling baguettes, seeded country sourdough loaves, and golden, layered butter croissants. Savoury standouts include slender ficelle sandwiches, particularly the jambon-beurre layered with French butter, cured ham, and sharp Comté. On the sweet side, reach for the pistachio croissant, a slice of Basque cheesecake, or a pain au chocolat alongside an espresso or iced matcha latte.

Know Before You Go Service is strictly walk-in and counter-based, with prime sourdough loaves and popular sandwiches routinely selling out by early afternoon.
