Taking over 180 Eglinton Avenue East near Redpath, Harp Tavern is an authentic Irish public house brought to Midtown by the Quinn hospitality family and St. Patrick’s Day Parade organizer Shaun Ruddy. The warmly lit room centers around a custom bar sculpted by Irish-Canadian carpenters from a salvaged black walnut tree, complemented by comfortable banquettes and a spacious wooden terrace. Executive Chef Paul Pisa—a veteran of Scaramouche and the Irish Embassy—leads the back of house, elevating tavern standards with serious kitchen bona fides.

Harp Tavern Menu & What to Order The kitchen leans into comforting heritage staples executed with precision, starting with a slow-braised beef and Guinness stew and golden-crusted cottage pie. Lighter appetites can start with smoked salmon served over traditional Irish soda bread, while the beer-battered fish and chips deliver textbook crunch and flake. For handhelds, order the double-patty smash burger smothered in aged cheddar and caramelized onions, and pair your meal with a meticulously poured pint of Guinness or fresh Harp Lager from the draft lines.

Know Before You Go Seating is primarily first-come, first-served, so expect a brief wait for bar stools and terrace spots on Friday and Saturday evenings when live music kicks off. The pub is an easy five-minute walk east from Eglinton subway station, with paid street and Green P parking nearby. Harp Tavern opens for dinner and late-night drinks Tuesday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to midnight and stays closed on Mondays.
