Located in Midtown, The Harp Tavern has finally opened its doors after years of vacancy and construction delays at the former site of Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub. The establishment is under the stewardship of the Quinn family and business partner Shaun Ruddy, who is known for organizing the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. The interior features a custom bar counter crafted by Irish-Canadian carpenters using wood from a local black walnut tree, creating a traditional tavern atmosphere. The venue also incorporates a dedicated space for an upcoming pizza concept, Angels Pizza, which will serve Detroit-style pies.

For a first visit, expect a classic Irish pub experience with a menu featuring beef and Guinness stew, chicken curry, smoked salmon on soda bread, cottage pie, and fish and chips. The bar offers a robust draft system serving pints of Guinness and Harp Lager, alongside a selection of ciders, wines, cocktails, and whiskey. The pub is currently open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to late. While the space is designed as a neighbourhood hospitality hub, visitors should note that the adjacent pizza kitchen operates as a separate entity within the building. The venue is accessible and serves as a casual spot for socialising in the Yonge and Eglinton area.
