Dumpling King is the Markham northeastern-dumpling house that has been folding jiaozi since 1999: 5328 Highway 7 East, Unit 1A. Official site dumplingking.ca still sells the New Kennedy Square origin story and a dumpling-and-dim-sum board at “extraordinary food at unbeatable prices.” Phone on the official footer: (905) 209-9888. Hours are not posted on the official homepage — call before you drive. First-timers: boiled pork dumplings are the house reason to come; add a cold platter and a hot-pot-adjacent plate if you are a group. This is a family suburban room, not a downtown counter. Reservations are invited on the official page. Downtown Dundas and Northtown Way rooms from older listings are closed; this Highway 7 kitchen is the one that is open. Useful when you want a GTA-east boiled dumpling, not another Spadina potsticker.
