Complex 19

Complex 19 is a nightlife destination in downtown Toronto, established by event producers Bradley Blaylock, Marc Bou-Fadel, and Mitch Gibson. Housed in a historic, three-story neoclassical building, the venue is designed to serve as an antidote to modern nightlife culture, which the founders feel has become overly focused on social media and digital performance. The club operates with a strict no-camera policy, aiming to foster a judgment-free environment where guests can connect, dance, and enjoy the music without the pressure of being captured on video or photography. By removing the distraction of screens, the space prioritizes community and presence over hierarchy or showiness.
For a first visit, expect a focus on dance music and a communal atmosphere. The venue does not offer bottle service or VIP booths, emphasizing an egalitarian experience where everyone is welcome regardless of their attire. Upon entry, guests are provided with high-quality stickers to cover their phone cameras, which must remain covered while inside. While phones are permitted for communication, the policy is strictly enforced to ensure the dance floor remains a private, immersive space. The club is located in the heart of the city, just a few blocks south of the Eaton Centre, and is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 people.
