Bonito's

(416) 663-7867
Taking over a former laundromat on the Ossington strip, Bonito’s brings a weirdly cohesive energy to Trinity-Bellwoods. Mikey Kim and Adrian Montesdeoca, the same pair behind Milou and Bar Bowie, have leaned hard into a rec-room aesthetic here, complete with wood panelling, 90s sports gear, and Tiffany lamps. It’s a collision of Korean and Ecuadorian backgrounds that manages to feel like a neighbourhood hangout rather than a forced concept, providing a laid-back space that stays open from day to night.
The menu is built for lingering, so don’t bother rushing through the Gochu Glaze wings or the teokkboki de choclo. If you’re just looking for a solid meal, the Oklahoma-style burger is the move. It’s a popular spot, and since they prioritize walk-ins, you’ll likely be staring at the Ossington sidewalk for a bit if you show up during peak hours. The space is fully accessible with main-floor washrooms, making it an easy pick for late-night drinks when you’re already in the area.
