Betty's East

What is Betty's East? Occupying the storied cottage space at 1301 Queen Street East, Betty's East carries forward the unpretentious, beloved spirit of Toronto's original King East institution into Leslieville and Greenwood-Coxwell. The interior pairs rustic charm with a working fireplace, a Steinway piano, and widescreen projectors tuned to local sports matches. Outside, the expansive front terrace with fire pits remains one of the east end's most coveted outdoor watering holes.

Betty's East Menu & What to Order The kitchen delivers satisfying, well-executed comfort classics and pub staples done right. The double-patty Betty's Burger on a toasted brioche bun is essential, while the jerk-seasoned PJ Burger with grilled pineapple provides a punchy alternative. Fish and chips alongside tempura cauliflower tacos cater reliably to pescatarian and vegetarian diners alike. Wash it all down with a pint from the extensive, rotating Ontario craft beer tap list.

Know Before You Go Tables operate on a casual walk-in basis, though large parties can coordinate in advance for group gatherings. The front patio packs out quickly during weekend brunch service and warm summer evenings. The 501 Queen streetcar drops off steps away near Alton Avenue, with street parking available along adjacent side streets.
