Arthur's Snackette

TBD
April 12, 2026
Arthur's Snackette is a specialized bagel counter located in a laneway off St. Clair Avenue West. It is a collaborative project between Raegan Steinberg and Alex Cohen, the team behind Montreal’s renowned Arthur's Nosh Bar, and Toronto-based baking expert Dara Gallinger, co-founder of Brodflour. The concept focuses on a unique, 100% naturally leavened sourdough bagel that undergoes a 35-hour fermentation process using premium Quebec flours, resulting in a distinct product that avoids commercial yeast. The shop operates as a compact, takeout-focused space, serving as a dedicated testing ground for the brand's expansion plans.
For a first visit, be prepared for high demand; the shop currently operates on weekends starting at 9:00 a.m. and frequently sells out of its daily production of approximately 400 bagels within a few hours. The menu is intentionally simple to highlight the quality of the bagels, offering them with classic toppings such as butter, cream cheese, smoked salmon, egg salad, or jam. There is no indoor seating available at this time, though plans for a future terrace have been noted. Given the rapid sell-out times, arriving early in the morning is recommended to ensure availability.
