Located on the ground floor of The Broadview Hotel in Riverside, Archie’s is a casual, nostalgia-driven restaurant designed as a community gathering space. Replacing the hotel's former lobby restaurant, The Civic, this concept is managed by Archive Hospitality and takes its name from Archibald Dingman, the entrepreneur who built the historic property in 1891. The interior aims for a warm, approachable vibe, incorporating subtle nods to the building’s storied past, including its time as the notorious Jilly’s strip club, through playful cocktail names like the White Tiger and the Pole Dancer.
Expect a menu focused on familiar comfort food, featuring classics such as steak pot pie and chicken supreme alongside an expansive burger selection, including a jalapeño smash burger. The space is intended to be family-friendly and multi-functional, equipped with pool tables, a photo booth, and screens for watching sports. Whether you are stopping in for a quick burger, a casual drink at the bar, or a relaxed dinner, the restaurant aims to provide a welcoming, unbuttoned atmosphere that serves as a middle ground between the hotel’s upscale rooftop offerings and the neighbourhood’s local boutiques.
