What is Archie’s? Taking over the ground floor of The Broadview Hotel at 106 Broadview Avenue, Archie’s brings an unpretentious, retro-styled tavern to the bustling corner of Queen Street East and Broadview. Spearheaded by Archive Hospitality and executive chef Artem Shcherbina, the space pays homage to 1891 property developer Archibald Dingman, trading the former high-ticket polish of The Civic for an energetic east-end hangout. The dining room pairs plush tufted red leather booths and warm globe chandeliers with an active bar counter, a pool table, and a vintage photo booth.

Archie’s Menu & What to Order The kitchen turns out chef-driven pub comfort food, anchored by a deep burger lineup featuring a standout double smashburger and the spicy Jalapeño Smash. Start with the steak tartare topped over golden hashbrowns or the Reuben croquettes, while plant-based eaters can dig into crispy Brussels sprouts tossed with vegan sriracha mayo. Wash everything down with a pint of house Archie’s Ale or tongue-in-cheek cocktails like the Pole Dancer and White Tiger, playful nods to the building's historic Jilly's days.

Know Before You Go Tables can be booked in advance via OpenTable, which is wise for Thursday through Saturday evening rushes, though walk-in seating is readily available around the bar. The 501 Queen and 504 King streetcars stop right at the intersection, and metered street parking lines Queen East. Archie’s opens Wednesday through Sunday starting at 5:00 p.m. and remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
