Ararat Bakery

What is Ararat Bakery? Located along Avenue Road north of Lawrence, Ararat Bakery operates as a functional takeout counter linked with the long-standing Ararat International Fine Foods grocer. The operation is geared strictly toward swift takeaway rather than seated dining, forgoing tables in favour of display cases stocked with crusty breads and home-style bakes. It serves Midtown neighbours looking for dependable daily carbs and pantry staples without ceremony.

Ararat Bakery Menu & What to Order Carbs rule the counter here, with a rotation spanning traditional crusty loaves to indulgent traybakes. The jalapeño cheddar focaccia delivers a balanced kick with blistered, cheesy edges, while the core artisan sourdough offers a satisfying chew and open crumb. For something sweet, the white chocolate strawberry sourdough scones strike a clever balance between fruit sweetness and cultured tang, alongside rich, chewy snickermallow brownies and pillowy cinnamon rolls.

Know Before You Go This is exclusively a walk-in, grab-and-go counter with no dine-in seating. Metered street parking is available along Avenue Road, though spots turn over quickly during lunch hours. The bakery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so visit before mid-afternoon for the best loaf availability before daily batches dwindle.
