Looking to spark an early culinary interest in your child? Head over to the McGregor Park Library in Scarborough for a special hands-on workshop led by TV host and celebrity chef Sang Kim.
Designed for children aged 8 to 12, this interactive session teaches the fundamentals of sushi rolling using carefully prepared, allergy-friendly ingredients—meaning no raw fish, gluten, nuts, or dairy. Beyond the kitchen skills, Chef Sang Kim will share fascinating insights into the history and origins of sushi, proper dining etiquette, and even award prizes for the best creations of the day.
### What to Expect Participants will get their hands dirty crafting their own delicious rolls under professional guidance and enjoy eating their handmade creations at the end of the session. It is a fantastic way for young foodies to build kitchen confidence in a welcoming, supportive community space.
