Ribfest at The Joneses

Fire up the grills and bring your appetite downtown! On Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, The Joneses is hosting Ribfest—a high-stakes, one-day rib showdown on its downtown patio. Five talented chefs from some of the city's favourite dining institutions are firing up unique, signature creations ranging from smoked pork back ribs glazed in root beer to Thai-style beef ribs and St. Louis cuts topped with roasted pineapple BBQ sauce.

Meet the Pitmasters This is not your average backyard barbecue. Sample creations from an all-star roster of culinary talent, including Trenton Pajuluoma (Chef de Cuisine, Biff’s Bistro), Martina Soos (Chef de Cuisine, The Rabbit Hole), Rob Ratcliffe (Chef de Cuisine, The Dorset), alongside Andrew Nowry and Michael Brown from The Joneses.

The Menu & Logistics Guests can choose to order individual favourites or opt for the ultimate Pitmaster Platter to try all five chef creations in one go. A shortened à la carte menu alongside happy hour food and drink features will also be available. Located at 33 Yonge Street, Unit 100, the venue sits just steps from Union Station, Scotiabank Arena, and Meridian Hall, making it an ideal pre-game or post-explore stop. Note that while the indoor dining room is accessible, the outdoor patio hosting the Ribfest is not wheelchair accessible. Come early—the event runs until sold out!
