Food lovers and aspiring home chefs won't want to miss a unique opportunity to learn from one of Toronto's culinary personalities. TV host and celebrity chef Sang Kim is heading to the Runnymede Library to host a free Vegetarian Sushi Making workshop for adults.

Participants will learn the essential techniques of rolling sushi using fresh, chef-prepared vegetarian ingredients—and yes, you get to eat your own delicious creations at the end of the class! Alongside the hands-on kitchen action, Chef Sang Kim will share fascinating insights into the history of sushi, its cultural origins, and proper dining etiquette.

What to Know Before You Go The class runs from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the 2nd Floor Program Room at the Runnymede Library (2178 Bloor Street West). Space is strictly limited, and tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes prior to the start time, so be sure to queue up early.

Making an Evening of It Situated right in Bloor West Village, the library is surrounded by fantastic neighbourhood spots. Grab a pre-class espresso or stick around after for a relaxed dinner at one of the many independent bistros along Bloor.
