With the world’s game taking over Toronto this June, the Yonge + St. Clair BIA is making sure the excitement isn't just downtown. From June 11 to 14, the Midtown Kickoff festival is transforming two outdoor parking lots at 30 Alvin Ave into a free, soccer-inspired hub.
What to Expect
Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for a community vibe, there’s plenty to do. You’ll find a pop-up soccer field, jersey shops, and a variety of festival food vendors and trucks. The highlight for many will likely be the "Fan Card Factory," where you can get your photo taken to create your very own custom soccer trading card—a perfect souvenir for the summer.
Why It Matters
While the downtown core will be buzzing with official FIFA events, Midtown Kickoff is a locally organized, City-funded celebration designed to bring that same energy to the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood. It’s a great way to enjoy the tournament atmosphere without the downtown crowds. It’s free, open to the public, and just steps away from St. Clair Station on Line 1. Grab some friends, grab a bite from a food truck, and soak in the soccer spirit.
