First Class Fest - 2 Day Pass

Friday, August 28, 2026 – Saturday, August 29, 2026
12:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.
Sobeys Stadium
The New Wave Hits Toronto
Forget the polished, radio-friendly rap festivals you’re used to. First Class Fest is something entirely different—it’s a curated showcase of the internet-native, high-energy, and boundary-pushing artists who are currently defining the sound of the underground. By taking over Sobeys Stadium, the festival is making a bold statement: this isn’t just a niche scene anymore; it’s a movement that’s ready to fill stadiums.
A Lineup That Defines the Culture
The curation here is impeccable for anyone tapped into the current rap zeitgeist. Day 1 is a masterclass in modern trap and experimental flows. You have the enigmatic Osamason, whose recent output has been nothing short of prolific, and the UK’s own Lancey Foux, a performer known for his electrifying, fashion-forward stage presence that feels more like a high-concept art show than a standard concert. With the inclusion of underground legends like Black Kray—a pioneer of the aesthetic that birthed many of today’s trends—and the infectious energy of BKtherula, the first day is a deep dive into the sounds that are currently dominating SoundCloud and TikTok algorithms.
Day 2 shifts the focus, anchored by the legendary LUCKI. The Chicago icon is a master of the "plugg" and ambient trap sound, known for his laid-back yet incredibly intense live performances. Watching him command a crowd at Sobeys Stadium will be a highlight of the summer. He’s joined by the likes of Nettspend and Skaiwater, artists who represent the hyper-kinetic, genre-blurring future of the industry. This is a lineup that rewards the listener who spends their time digging through playlists; it’s raw, it’s loud, and it’s unapologetically modern.
The Venue: Sobeys Stadium
Usually known for hosting the world’s top tennis talent at the National Bank Open, Sobeys Stadium in the York University Heights neighbourhood provides a unique backdrop for this festival. It’s a massive space, and transforming a tennis stadium into a mosh-pit-ready rap venue creates an atmosphere that you simply won't find in the downtown club circuit. The open-air feel (or the ability to handle the scale of the production) allows for the kind of massive sound systems these artists require to truly bring their bass-heavy tracks to life.
Getting There & Making the Most of It
Getting to Sobeys Stadium is relatively straightforward, but it’s a bit of a trek from the downtown core. The best way to get there is via the TTC; take Line 1 (Yonge-University) all the way up to Pioneer Village Station. From there, it’s a short walk or a quick bus ride to the stadium. If you’re driving, there is ample parking on-site, but expect traffic to be heavy as thousands of fans descend on the area.
Since you’ll be in the York University area, don’t expect the same density of late-night bars you’d find in Queen West or Ossington. However, the area around the university has plenty of quick-service spots to grab a bite before the doors open at 4:00 PM. My advice? Fuel up before you head north. Once you’re inside, the energy is going to be non-stop. If you’ve splurged for VIP, the 3:00 PM entry is a smart move—it gives you a chance to scout the best spots near the stage before the general admission rush. Wear comfortable shoes; you’re going to be standing, jumping, and moving for a long time.
