Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade

Saturday, August 1, 2026 – Saturday, August 1, 2026
8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Exhibition Place & Lake Shore Blvd W
Caribana — officially the Toronto Caribbean Carnival — is back, and the Grand Parade is the moment everything builds toward. On Saturday, August 1, tens of thousands of masqueraders in elaborate feathered-and-sequined costumes take over Lake Shore Boulevard West, dancing from the assembly area at Exhibition Place along the lakeshore to a wall of soca, calypso, and steelpan.
The Parade
The parade runs roughly 8am to 8pm. Most of the route along Lake Shore is free to watch, but seated viewing inside Exhibition Place requires paid admission — worth it if you want to see the mas bands up close as they hit the main stage for judging. Come early; the best spots fill fast and the sun is relentless with no shade.
The Whole Weekend
The parade is the finale of a packed weekend. The King & Queen Showcase lights up Lamport Stadium on July 30, followed by Pan Alive — the steelpan competition — on July 31. Between the fetes, the food, and the music, this is the biggest celebration of Caribbean culture on the continent.
Getting There
Take the GO Train or TTC to Exhibition. Do not drive — road closures blanket the entire area and parking is a nightmare.
