Distillery Historic District
The Distillery Winter Village is back for its 17th year, running daily from November 12, 2026, through January 3, 2027 (closed Christmas Day) across the Distillery Historic District at 55 Mill Street.
Opening night
Thursday, November 12, at 6 pm brings the tree lighting with Santa and the countdown. Opening-night tickets are on sale now, and profits from that night support the market's charity partners.
What to expect
Cobblestone lanes under thousands of lights, artisan vendors, seasonal food and drinks, carollers, photo spots, and Canada's most photographed Christmas tree. Hours generally start at noon and run to 9 pm, or 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Tickets
Entry is free during non-peak windows (typically before 4 pm and many midweek days early in the season). Timed tickets are required for opening night, Friday through Sunday after 4 pm, Thursdays in December after 4 pm, and daily from mid to late December. General admission is about $16 plus fees, with Flex and Express options higher. Kids nine and under are free. There is no on-site box office. Buy online before you go.
Getting there
Take the 504A King streetcar to Distillery Loop, or walk from Union Station. Peak weekend evenings get crowded. If you want the tree and lights without the crush, aim for a weekday afternoon.
