Calling all sweet-toothed foodies aged 18 to 35: the S. Walter Stewart Library in East York is hosting an introductory cooking class dedicated entirely to the magic of classic Italian tiramisu.

Led by Chef Yumiko, this hands-on workshop breaks down the fundamentals of layering textures and flavours. Participants will learn how to balance espresso-soaked ladyfingers with rich, velvety mascarpone cream, walking away with a delicious ready-to-eat dessert and the confidence to recreate it at home.

What to Expect This intimate, in-person session is designed specifically for younger adults looking to learn a new culinary skill in a casual, social setting. Chef Yumiko provides all the ingredients and guides you step-by-step through the process.

Registration & Logistics The workshop takes place on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the S. Walter Stewart Branch (170 Memorial Park Ave). Space is strictly limited, and registration opens on September 9, 2026. You can sign up online or call the library directly at 416-396-3975.
