Dust off your best riffs and prepare for some serious shredding—without the actual guitar. The Canadian National Air Guitar Championship is back, and the stakes have never been higher. The winner of this face-melting competition will head to Oulu, Finland, to represent Canada on the world stage.
Make Air, Not War
This event is about more than just theatrical solos and stage presence; it’s a charitable effort. Air Guitar Canada is partnering with Food Banks Canada, and you can even earn extra votes for your favourite performer by bringing shelf-stable food items to the venue. It’s a great way to support a good cause while enjoying one of the most unique spectacles in the city.
What to Expect
Expect high energy, flashing lights, and plenty of passion. Whether you're there to cheer on the competitors or just to witness the absurdity of it all, it’s guaranteed to be a memorable night. The event is held at Ground Control on Queen West, a perfect spot to grab a drink and settle in for the show.
How to Get Involved
Think you have what it takes to be the next champion? Registration for competitors is open until May 19th. If you're just attending, remember to bring cash to 'Boost the Ballot' or those non-perishable food items for the Toronto Food Bank. It’s a 19+ event, so bring your ID and get ready for a night where the music is loud and the guitars are invisible.
