Master the Art of Bubble Tea

Ever wondered how to get that perfect black sugar swirl and rich milk tea blend right at home? Head over to the Queen/Saulter branch of the Toronto Public Library for a hands-on, free workshop dedicated entirely to the art of boba.

Led by library staff, this 45-minute to one-hour session breaks down the core ingredients of a classic milk tea. Participants will learn proper mixing techniques and how to decorate their cups like a pro. Best of all, you get to sip your creation as you go—complete with a classic lidded cup and straw provided on-site.

Practical Details

The workshop takes place at 765 Queen Street East in the heart of Riverside, one of Toronto's most vibrant east-end neighbourhoods packed with fantastic bakeries, indie shops, and cafes. Note that ingredients do contain dairy and the tea used is non-caffeinated, making it accessible for a wide range of participants.

Space is extremely limited: pre-registration is encouraged, though five walk-in tickets will be made available half an hour before the event starts. Grab a friend and spend an hour sharpening your barista skills in a welcoming community space.
