Master the Ultimate Korean Comfort Food
If you have ever wanted to elevate your weeknight cooking, here is your chance. Acclaimed Toronto-based chef, writer, and TV personality Sang Kim is dropping by the Spadina Road Library to teach a hands-on culinary session dedicated to the art of the classic Korean rice bowl: bibimbap.
Hosted right in the heart of the Annex, this workshop breaks down the foundational elements of Korean home cooking. Participants will learn how to properly prepare and balance each individual component ingredient, practice essential knife skills for clean chopping and slicing, and mix up a signature gochujang-based sauce from scratch.
Practical Details
The class takes place around the central Canoe table on the main floor of the Spadina Road branch. Because space and ingredients are limited, advance registration is encouraged through the Toronto Public Library system.
*Please note: The recipes prepared in this workshop contain eggs, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.* Whether you are a novice home cook or a seasoned foodie looking to pick up professional tips from one of the city's culinary ambassadors, this is a delicious way to spend a Monday evening.
