Join award-winning writer, chef, and TV personality Sang Kim in the east end at Taylor Memorial Library for an immersive, hands-on cooking workshop focused on the classic Korean bibimbap. Designed specifically for young adults aged 18 to 24, this one-hour session breaks down the essential components of a nutritious, balanced rice bowl based on traditional Asian cooking methods.

Participants will learn proper knife skills for chopping and slicing fresh vegetables, master the creation of authentic sauces, and assemble their own custom bowl featuring seasoned veggies, a cooked egg, and a spicy-sweet-vinegary gochujang-style kick. Pre-cooked ingredients will be provided, and a strict vegetarian option is available for those who prefer to skip the egg.

Located in the vibrant Cliffside neighbourhood along Kingston Road, Taylor Memorial Library is just a short trip away from the scenic Scarborough Bluffs—making it a great excuse to grab some culinary inspiration and head down to the water afterward.
