Aadab
Our Review· May 11, 2026 · Very Toronto Staff

Aadab brings authentic Hyderabadi and Arab flavours to the neighbourhood with standout curries and private dining nooks.

Aadab has quickly established itself as a reliable successor for those missing the flavours of the now-closed Shaaz, offering a similar dedication to Hyderabadi and Arab-inspired cuisine. The space is thoughtfully designed, featuring clean lines and warm lighting that elevates the dining experience beyond your typical takeout spot. What really sets the interior apart are the private dining areas, which use curtains to create intimate, secluded nooks perfect for a longer meal. While the restaurant is well-maintained and inviting, be prepared for a chilly welcome; the vestibule locks in a way that lets a blast of cold air in every time the door opens, so keep your coat handy if you are seated near the entrance.

The restaurant features several private dining areas equipped with curtains for added privacy.

When it comes to the menu, the Dum Ka Chicken is the undisputed highlight—it is an exceptionally layered, flavourful dish that is so good you might find yourself ordering a second round. The chicken lollipops are another strong contender, arriving perfectly seasoned and ready to dip. Pair these with an order of hot, fresh garlic naan or the soft Rumali Roti to scoop up every bit of sauce. While the menu is generally strong, skip the Haleem, which leans too far into a pasty, overly gooey texture. The crispy corn is a great starter, though note that it is quite oily and salty. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, and you should absolutely finish your meal with an Irani Chai; its distinct profile provides the perfect, warming contrast to the spice-heavy meal. Just watch out for the abundance of curry leaves in the curries—they add great depth, but you will want to set them aside as you eat.
