Founded in 1962, Toronto French School (TFS) is the only full-continuum International Baccalaureate world school for French and English in Canada. The school serves 1,500 students from age 2 through Grade 12 across two campuses — a senior school in Lawrence Park, Toronto, and a junior campus in Mississauga.
TFS delivers a unique dual curriculum: students earn both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma and the French National Brevet, with the option of an advanced bilingual IB Diploma. The school's bilingual model produces graduates fluent in both official languages, with 81% qualifying for the bilingual or advanced bilingual IB diploma.
The Class of 2025 boasts 100% Ontario Scholars, with 64% of university offers coming from international institutions across 31 countries. Students complete over 10,000 volunteer hours in their final two years, reflecting the school's motto: "Individuals who reflect, citizens who act."
TFS is accredited by the French Ministry of Education (AEFE), the Ontario Ministry of Education, and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), as well as CAIS and AFSA. The school offers an entrance scholarship programme and an introductory French programme for students new to the language.
Extracurriculars include competitive athletics, visual and performing arts, Model UN, robotics, Duke of Edinburgh, and extensive community service. The 3,500+ alumni network spans 31 countries worldwide.
