Yuki Japanese Restaurant

What is Yuki Japanese Restaurant? Situated along Dufferin Street south of Yorkdale, Yuki Japanese Restaurant is an unassuming, long-standing counter-and-table joint that locals rely on for fresh fish without the fuss. The compact, carpeted dining room leans comfortably understated, outfitted with partitioned wooden tables and booth seating that provide surprising privacy for solo diners and small groups alike. It strikes the quintessential tone of a dependable neighbourhood sushi bar, run with polite, quiet efficiency.

Yuki Japanese Restaurant Menu & What to Order The kitchen covers traditional Japanese comfort food alongside an extensive sushi bar program. The eponymous Yuki Sushi combo remains the smartest order for nigiri enthusiasts, delivering tightly rolled maki alongside glistening, properly chilled cuts of salmon, tuna, and whitefish. For something richer, the Chirashi Don comes generously crowned with an assortment of raw fish over seasoned sushi rice, while the crisp shrimp tempura and sweet-savoury beef teriyaki anchor the cooked offerings with classic execution.

Know Before You Go While midday lunch orders skew heavily toward takeout and quick walk-ins, prime dinner hours on Friday and Saturday can squeeze the modest dining room, making a quick advance reservation worthwhile. Drivers will find street and plaza parking accessible nearby, and the 29 Dufferin bus stops just steps from the front door. Note that doors remain closed on Mondays, with an earlier Sunday closing time of 8:30 p.m.
