What is Woojoo Yonge? Located at 550 Yonge Street just steps north of Wellesley subway station, Woojoo Yonge is the central downtown outpost of Toronto's popular Korean bunsik outfit. True to its name—"woojoo" translates to "universe" or "space" in Korean—the brightly lit, energetic room features playful astronaut accents alongside tight, clean-lined table seating. It functions as a modern, high-speed snack bar built for comforting, carb-heavy Korean street staples.

Woojoo Yonge Menu & What to Order Chewy rice cakes bathed in punchy house sauces form the core of the kitchen, led by the creamy, gochujang-laced Rosé Tteokbokki and the tongue-numbing Cream Mala Tteokbokki. For a more substantial spread, order the Korean Bulgogi Chicken Bokki hot pot or a side of crispy chicken tossed in sweet-savoury cheese butter garlic seasoning. Balance the fiery spice levels with Milkis or iced tea, and do not skip toppings like fried seaweed rolls (gimmari), mozzarella, or wide sweet potato glass noodles.

Know Before You Go Seating is strictly walk-in only, and the dining room fills rapidly during weekday lunch and late-evening study hours. Transit is by far the easiest route, as Wellesley Station is less than a two-minute walk away, while street parking on Yonge is virtually impossible. The restaurant serves continuously daily, staying open until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
