Twister Karaoke

What is Twister Karaoke? Perched along the busy stretch of 5586 Yonge Street just south of Finch Station, Twister Karaoke is a venerable North York staple dedicated purely to unpretentious late-night singing. The interior bypasses sleek lounge aesthetics in favor of utilitarian private karaoke boxes outfitted with leatherette bench seating, dim mood lighting, and accessible touchscreens. It operates as an old-school singing joint where groups come for privacy, loud speakers, and extensive song libraries rather than bespoke interior design.

Twister Karaoke Menu & What to Order Food and drink here are geared toward fueling marathon vocal sessions rather than full-course dining. The beverage roster leans heavily on ice-cold bottled beers like Sapporo and Tsingtao, alongside chilled bottles of soju and pitchers of draft beer. While the snack selection is minimal—sticking mostly to chips, simple salty nibbles, and soft drinks—it handles hydration and lubrication well so your group can stay focused on the mic. Eat dinner at one of the surrounding Korean barbecue spots or noodle houses on Yonge before heading upstairs.

Know Before You Go Twister opens early in the afternoon and runs until 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. every night, making it an essential final stop for late-night crowds. While walk-ins are routinely accommodated during off-peak and weekday hours, Friday and Saturday nights fill up fast, making a phone call ahead essential to lock down a room. Street parking along Yonge can be tricky at night, but the venue is an easy two-minute walk from Finch subway station.
