Tre Mari Bakery

Tre Mari has been on St. Clair West since 1960, now in its third generation, and it is still a bakery-deli you shop, not a café you pose in. The shop floor is bread racks, cannoli, groceries, and trays — the official site sells all of it — which is why Corso Italia families treat it as the Saturday stop. First-timers: go for bread and cannoli, then look at the deli if you are feeding people. It opens at 7, which is the advantage over every downtown pastry window. Sunday closes at 6. Pickup for online orders is $25 minimum; walk in, give your name at the cashier. This replaces the gelato-shop energy of a St. Clair stroll with an actual bakery.
