Toronto Tempo

Toronto Tempo in Downtown

The Toronto Tempo is a professional women’s basketball team competing in the WNBA as the league’s 14th franchise and its first based outside the United States. Owned by Kilmer Sports Ventures and chaired by Larry Tanenbaum, the team officially began play in May 2026. The organization is led by President Teresa Resch, General Manager Monica Wright Rogers, and Head Coach Sandy Brondello, who brings extensive championship experience to the inaugural roster. The team plays its home games at the historic Coca-Cola Coliseum, located at Exhibition Place, which provides an intimate, high-energy atmosphere for fans in the downtown area.

For a first visit, expect a fast-paced professional basketball environment with a capacity of 8,500 seats. Tickets for home games are available through the official WNBA website and Ticketmaster, with high demand anticipated for the inaugural season. Fans should plan for travel to Exhibition Place, which is well-connected by public transit. While the team is currently building its home-court identity, the atmosphere is designed to be inclusive and community-focused. Keep an eye on the official team website for schedule updates, including special games hosted in other Canadian cities, and information regarding the team's future dedicated performance centre, which is currently in development.
