Toronto Latino

What is Toronto Latino? Anchoring a bustling stretch of Eglinton Avenue West in Briar Hill-Belgravia, Toronto Latino is an authentic neighbourhood hybrid that combines a homestyle Colombian hot table with a packed Latin grocery bodega and community remittance hub. The interior is refreshingly unpretentious and utilitarian, offering limited counter-style seating alongside shelves loaded with South American pantry essentials.

Toronto Latino Menu & What to Order The kitchen turns out generous, deeply satisfying Colombian comfort staples that taste straight out of an Antioquia home kitchen. The benchmark order is the Colombian Tray, piled high with crisp chicharrón, savoury ground beef, fried sweet plantain, arepa, beans, rice, and a fried egg. Do not overlook the golden, crisp-shelled Colombian Empanadas paired with punchy ají sauce, or the weekend-only Sancocho, a restorative, slow-simmered meat stew that sells out fast.

Know Before You Go Seating is sparse and walk-ins are the rule here, with much of the mid-day rush built around takeout and grocery runs. Street parking along Eglinton West can be tight, so taking the Eglinton bus route is often the most hassle-free option. Keep in mind that doors close earlier on Sunday at 6:00 p.m., while the rest of the week runs until 8:00 p.m.
