What is The Self Ramen Bar? The Self Ramen Bar is an automated Korean-style instant noodle parlor located at 233 College Street, Unit C, across from the University of Toronto St. George campus. Replicating the popular self-cook ramyeon convenience stores found across Seoul, it provides an interactive, tech-driven quick-dining experience for students and budget diners.
The Self Ramen Bar Menu & What to Order Customers browse wall displays and touchscreen kiosks offering dozens of Korean ramyeon packets, from mild savory beef broths like Jin Ramen to fiery Samyang Buldak stir-fried noodles. Customize your bowl with self-serve toppings including American cheese slices, green onions, kimchi, bean sprouts, and soft-boiled eggs before placing it on induction cookers that automatically dispense hot water and cook the noodles to precise al dente texture.
Know Before You Go Clear visual instructions guide first-time visitors through the automated cooking stations. Operating Monday through Saturday until 10:00 PM, the counter is reachable via the 506 Carlton streetcar line.
