What is The Magpie Cakery? The Magpie Cakery is a boutique bakeshop, specialty coffee counter, and culinary teaching studio located at 1125 Gerrard Street East at Leslie Street in Leslieville. Founded by Great Canadian Baking Show finalist Maggie Frith, the bright neighborhood shop produces small-batch pastries made entirely from scratch using seasonal Ontario ingredients.
The Magpie Cakery Menu & What to Order The pastry counter rotates weekly with flaky laminated bakes and homestyle treats. Regular favorites include tender cheddar chive scones, caramelized cardamom morning buns, and thick brown butter chocolate chip cookies finished with Maldon sea salt flakes.
